Welcome, Veterans

WorkInTexas.com would like to salute all of our dedicated veterans and thank you for serving your country. We have staff stationed in Workforce Solutions Offices throughout the state to help you search for a new job, and we hope you will visit with staff and give them an opportunity to assist you.

Priority of Service for all veterans and qualified spouses of veterans entitles you to precedence over non-veterans in obtaining the full array of employment, training, and placement services, as well as priority of service in any of the U.S. Department of Labor–funded programs and services for which you are eligible. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities by visiting your nearest Workforce Solutions Office to inquire about specific entitlements for veterans.

The Texas Veterans Leadership Program is a resource and referral network that serves to connect returning veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan with the resources and tools they need to transition smoothly from the military back into civilian life. Our Veterans Resource and Referral Specialists are ready to help you successfully transition out of the military and into the civilian workforce. To find the Veteran Resource and Referral Specialist in your area, go to http://www.twc.state.tx.us/tvlp/tvlp_vrrs.html#representative or call (888) VET-TEX1.
