Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) Web design and development work. Work involves coordinating Web environment design, deployment, development, and maintenance activities. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Analyzes the layout of Internet and intranet pages for efficiency and effectiveness; prepares graphics, text, and tables; and determines the size and arrangements of illustrative material and copy.
Monitors and Analyzes website traffic.
Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations concerning existing information technology/systems processes and the development of new procedures, standards, tools, and techniques.
Analyzes Web content for accessibility; and recommends changes to make content accessible and remediates accessibility issues.
Develops and maintains Web applications.
Develops, programs, manages, implements, and maintains software solutions and systems integration projects to enhance Internet and intranet communities.
Provides project leadership for system requirements analysis, task and resource estimation and scheduling, project management, and implementation.
Provides technical leadership for a variety of programming languages and reviews emerging technologies related to the agency’s programming and web environments.
Recommends new programming technologies and assists with the integration of the technology into Internet and intranet environments.
Interacts and communicates with the agency’s information management team or hosting agency to address hardware or software issues affecting Web sites.
Implements Web site security measures for Internet and intranet security, such as firewalls or message encryption.
May assign and/or supervise the work of others.
Performs related work as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience and Education
Experience in systems analysis and design work. Experience managing websites and programming web applications is preferred. Graduation from a two-year college with major coursework in Web design or Web development is generally preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, and of techniques used in the design of Web applications.
UNIX systems administration experience.
Web application server administration experience.
Ability to design Web pages; to handle multiple projects; to schedule, test, and install Web pages; to communicate effectively; and to assign and/or supervise the work of others.
Experience with HTML 5, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, web authoring tools, content management systems, mobile application development, scripting languages, and programming languages preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Pay Between $5,000.00 / MO and $7,500.00 / MO
