Physical Requirements

 Physical labor that involves occasionally lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
 Physical labor that involves scrubbing and bending and reaching.

 Physical labor that involves lifting large trash bags with trash and emptying into a dumpster.
 Physical labor that involves climbing stairs repeatedly during a 6-11 hour workday.
 Physical labor that involves loading and unloading linens into & out of a washer & dryer.

 Reliability to be at work as scheduled without fail.

 Ability and initiative to clean in areas that are not part of your daily duties.


 You will be responsible for inspecting every room of the hotel each day for cleanliness, room condition, and meeting brand standard requirements.
 You will be responsible for reporting any discrepancies or abnormalities in room condition per procedures set forth by the General Manager.
 Reading and writing ability in English is required. Reading and writing ability in Spanish is strongly preferred.
 Verbal communication in English is required. Verbal communication in Spanish is strongly preferred.
 You will work closely with the hotelís front desk staff to communicate room availability & status, as well as meeting guestsí needs.
 You will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing and training new staff members.
 You will be responsible for motivating and coaching staff to meet performance and safety standards.
 You will be responsible for performance evaluations and disciplinary actions for your staff.
 You will be responsible for completing the hotelís laundry each day.
 You will be responsible for the cleaning & supervision of the hotelís public areas, and offices, including the laundry room, hallways, storage rooms, break-room, public restrooms and employee restroom.
 You will be responsible for conducting periodic inventory counts for all the housekeeping supplies and tools.
 You will be responsible for the complete supervision of the housekeeping staff, which generally varies from 5-12 people.
 You will be responsible for assigning work to your team. This will generally involve assigning guestrooms to clean, but will also involve delegating other cleaning duties as well as working on special projects.

Additional Workweek Details Hours and days of the week will vary from week to week though it's primarily a daytime position. Weekends are our busiest periods so lack of availability on weekends will greatly reduce considering you for the position.
