Job Description

Position Summary:
A Coach is responsible for the supervision a group of children, K-6th grade, throughout the day. A Coach will be asked to plan weekly activities, participate in games and other activities, and prepare and teach Bible Study twice a week.

Essential Functions:
1. Schedule weekly activities for your group and submit weekly activity plans to Day Camp Director
2. Provide a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, to ensure the operation of a quality Day Camp program
3. Ensures children are aware of rules, and daily scheduled routines
4. Attend all staff meetings and pre-camp Day Camp training
5. Assist in the planning and implementing of the daily activities that fit your camperís needs and interests
6. Takes responsibility for the quality of the supplies, equipment and materials
7. Report all suspicions of child abuse to theCENTER Director and proper authorities
8. Reports all accidents to the Day Camp Director and complete an accident/incident form
9. Direct or assist in the daily maintenance of the camp, ensuring safety and cleanliness
10. Assume a high level of maturity in all areas of Day Camp work and an equal share of the regular housekeeping chores such as cleaning, preparing for daily activities and cleaning up after projects
11. Establish a relationship with each camper and know his or her level of understanding; consider the needs of all the children and treat each child with respect and dignity
12. Participate in all activities with your campers and maintain high levels of leadership and
responsibility on off-site field trips
It should be understood that this Job Description has been developed as an outline for basic responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned by the Day Camp Director or theCENTER Directors from time to time as deemed appropriate and/or necessary.

1. All Coaches must have completed high school and/or some college
2. Must be able to abide by all camp rules, whatever is expected of the campers is expected of you (ex: absolutely no cell phones)
3. CPR and First Aid certifications (certifications can be completed during staff training if needed)
4. Desire to share the love of Christ with campers, parents, and camp staff
5. Desire to work with children and adults in a Day Camp setting
6. May be required to sit, stand, or participate in physical activity for extended periods of time
7. Must exhibit patience and understanding with children and peers

Workweek Full Time
Additional Workweek Details Camp will begin on June 3rd and end August 9th. There will be required training prior to camp begin date.
