Job Description

HR Advisor (00001UJO)

The HR Advisor provides coaching and guidance to line managers and associates for both routine and complex associate relations issues (e.g., attendance, performance, harassment, etc.) remotely via phone or internet.

Provides advice and counsel to associates and managers on both routine and complex associate relations issues to resolve work-related conflicts and promote increased communication.

Advises managers on issues (e.g., discipline, coaching associates, performance management)

Assists associates with the interpretation of Company policies and responds to inquiries, concerns, and grievances.

Investigates associate complaints and disputes; Maintains appropriate records/files of investigations; works with Associate Relations Center of Excellence (COE) with more complex investigations.

Administers progressive discipline/corrective action.

Facilitates reasonable accommodations process

Collaborates with Associate Relations COE on program goals and objectives.

Researches and identifies trends and communicates to Associate Relations COE.

Collaborates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs related to associate relations.

Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary (e.g., preparing and presenting special reports/trainings, participating on special projects, etc.).


Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, human resources, employee relations or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Normally requires 3-5 years of experience in an Associate Relations or HR Generalist role.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with HR Case Management software a plus.

Travel up to 20%
